In 1764 King Louis XV of France gave Bishop Montmorency-Laval permission to found a glassworks village of Baccarat in the Lorraine region of Eastern France. Since then, Baccarat, has graced the tables of Presidents and Kings and, in its distinctive red packaging, has become one of the world’s greatest luxury houses.
